Getting to SFO from Burlingame

Burlingame's unique proximity means SFO is always within easy reach. It's just a short drive up Highway 101 or a quick Caltrain ride to Millbrae, where a single BART transfer takes you straight into the airport. For door-to-door convenience, rideshares and local shuttles make early flights or late arrivals simple to manage without the stress of a long commute.

By Car or Rideshare

From luxury apartments at Revery on the northern end of Burlingame, SFO is 2 miles away via E Millbrae Ave (this is typically the fastest route even with traffic), or 3.7 miles away via California Dr and US-101 N. This is roughly a 7–9 minute drive under normal conditions.

From central / downtown Burlingame, the trip is more like 3 miles and 10-15 minutes.

Rideshares and taxis are widely available, and drop-offs happen curbside at each terminal.

By Caltrain and BART

For those who prefer public transit, the connection is direct. Take Caltrain from Burlingame Station one stop north to Millbrae Station, then transfer to BART toward San Francisco International Airport—just one stop away. The full trip typically takes 20–25 minutes and avoids highway traffic entirely.

Only 2 Miles Away? Can I Walk or Bike?

While Burlingame is close to the airport, the freeway network around SFO makes biking or walking to the terminals impractical. Cyclists can access Old Bayshore Highway to reach nearby hotels or shuttle pick-up points, but direct airport access is limited.
